English country marquee wedding

Shaden & George
A truly international day with a wonderful contingent of Canadians coming to Wiltshire for Shaden & George’s wedding. The venue – a 12th Century church where George was christened in became the venue for his marriage ceremony. After the ceremony we all took a short walk back home for a garden reception. The bride was surrounded by her family and best friends as she got ready. She looked beautiful in a Clover London gown. The very taleted Emma Gandolfo did both her hair and make up.
Under usual circumstances, the church’s capacity is around 40. They managed to cram in 65 friends and family for the service, ranging in age from eight weeks to over 80 years. With a photographer and videographer, we nearly ended up photographing and filming from outside the church. Amazingly, there was enough space for us both. We just had to deal with the odd elbow poking out from the end of a few pews!
It was a beautiful service, where the groom’s godfather played the organ and one of the bride’s best friends sang. After the ceremony, guests walked 200 metres back to George’s family home. The happy couple led the way in a beautiful Rolls. The real celebrations began.
Speeches were in English with a smattering of French thrown in to reflect Shaden’s Quebec heritage and George’s bilingual skills. And with four generations as guests, it was a real family affair.
