I just loved this. A day spent documenting the br I just loved this. A day spent documenting the brilliant @lbproteam and @lbmakeupandhair as they first watched an awesome masterclass by the incredibly talented @suziegeemakeup and then went on to create some stunning looks of their own based on what they had been watching. I have to say everyone made me so welcome. I came away totally buzzing, both from seeing up close the talents the team have and from being able to document each model as their make up came alive. Understanding how different brands and types of foundation, blusher, eyeshadow, lip gloss and all the smaller aspects, react not only to skin type, but skin colour, was truly inspiring. The professionalism of the team is outstanding. I suspect a few may have quite a lengthy shopping list, such was the contents of Suzie's make up collection. Each MUA created their own look and feel, totally different even when done on the same model - timeless, modern, glowing, fresh, soft, almost invisible, natural - that fits with their brand. In many ways similar to the way photographers hone their editing, something I always encourage wedding couples to explore to ensure that the end result is how they want to see themselves. I learnt so much. Not only about how MUAs plan how they will create the look a bride wants, but almost more importantly, how I as a wedding photographer can help them on a wedding day. It's been a full on October, so I thought I'd shar It's been a full on October, so I thought I'd share a little more of where I've been and what I've been doing. This time last week, I was photographing a celebration of Ada Lovelace, who was one the world's first computer programmers. Horsley Towers was her marital home. The annual event now celebrates women in STEM, and this year's panel speakers were truly inspirational. Horsley Towers was originally designed by Sir Charles Barry (the same man that designed both the Houses of Parliament and Highclere Castle). The 19th century mansion house is also a stunning wedding venue with its own chapel and stunning grounds, so it was lovely to have a tour around this historical venue, tucked away in the Surrey countryside. #horsleytowers #surreyweddingvenue #adalovelace #womeninSTEM #surreyphotographer #chapel #weddingvenue #surreyweddingphotographer #busydays

I hadn't excepted to receive such a heart warming testimonial, so these words were definitely the icing on the cake. Everything about this wedding was perfect, the weather, the venues, the food, and of course the bride & groom were so lovely. Every wedding is special, occasionally there's something extra special and this was one of those days. Happy tears, emotional tears, international guests all added to an amazing day "We are absolutely blown away by these pictures. They have far exceeded our expectations.
