I had a wonderful dual role of being part of a very special family wedding and photographer. I had just the best day being able to document such an amazing day as much from the inside as being a guest. Not always the easiest gig to pull off, but I loved every minute of it - and I got to sit down with family and friends for the most delicious meal too, so I didn't miss out! The love for these two was in every corner and it was a truly international day with the bride's family flying over from Canada and many others jetting in from far and wide. They happen when your day has just enough planning to let you relax and enjoy it. * Build a timeline with breathing room. * Allow extra time for travel. * Check your ceremony photography rules if you're marrying in church. * Don't underestimate the time needed for family photos. * Sneak away for 10 minutes at sunset—you'll never regret it. My role isn't just to take beautiful photographs. It's to help your day flow naturally, keep things calm when timings drift (because they always do a little), and capture the moments that matter most. Every wedding is different, but thoughtful planning means you'll spend less time watching the clock and more time soaking up every second of your day.
