With a backdrop as stunning as @bignor_park, there was never going to be anything other than beautiful moments for this shoot with @theweddingindex. From initial concept to final shots, last week's shot came together perfectly. Modern yet traditional with an ovelay odeditorial vibe, it ticked so many of my favourite things. For every wedding I photograph I plan a black & white storyboard to run alongside the main colour images. I'm such a fan of a black & white edit, and this was no exception. When I got together with @theweddingindex all those months ago to bring a vision together for this shoot, little did I imagine just how immersed I would become! Start to finish, yesterday out did all my dreams - although had it been a degree or two warmer that would have been the icing on the cake - such a great team to be part of. As wedding venues go Bignor Park is perfect. Nestled away in the heart of the South Downs, it is simply stunning, and oh boy you could spend hours exploring the beautiful gardens that form the backdrop of your wedding day. Last year I photographed a wonderful wedding and a couple of days ago, I went back to meet the newest member. Are you the calm one in photos… or the one who can Are you the calm one in photos… or the one who can’t stop laughing? 😄 This weekend I did a wonderful engagement shoot with Charlotte & John. They might have started this shoot thinking they’d be the calm, romantic type… but about before long a few giggles snuck in and that was that. We had a great wander around Old Winchester Hill, found some spring blossom, chased the best light and just laughed our way through the afternoon. And honestly, those unscripted moments? They’re always my favourite ones to photograph. Charlotte might be the giggliest of the two… but I reckon John secretly enjoys it just as much.
